Allègre-les-fumades 5-star campsite (Gard)

The Château de Boisson (Drink Castle) has all the style of Cevennes and Ardeches mansion-houses: visible stones, elegantly restored, stand out against the arched porches. For centuries, the “bastide” (country house) was both an upper-class house and a farm. Silkworms in particular, were bred at the silkworm nursery, for the silk manufacturers of Lyons. Left from that period, are some magnificent mulberry trees that shade the courtyard but also in the park are some majestic cedar trees for the well being of the campers.

Situated on the slope of the hill and in the heart of a scenic village, the campsite was developed on three main terraces. The sites are built within 8 hectares of nature, to maintain the privacy of every one.

Inside the castle, some lodgings are also available for rental.

If the campsite- mansion of the Château de Boisson (Drink Castle) offers sports facilities and quality leisure activities - outdoor swimming pool with water slide, paddling pool for younger ones, indoor heated swimming pool, two tennis courts, two bowling areas, multi-sports pitch, several table-tennis tables- it also offers two quality specificities: an outstanding restaurant, either in the vaulted cellar of the castle, or on the outside terrace that looks on the courtyard. You will have the opportunity to taste a very refined, locally inspired cuisine: the aubergine mosaic work or the traditional bull herd leader will enchant your taste buds

Nature sports amateurs will be fulfilled: within immediate proximity of the campsite, they will have the opportunity to enjoy the canoeing activities on the Cèze, climbing, potholing, horse-riding, quad, mountain-biking, and adventure routes activities!

The Château de Boisson (Drink Castle) is also an excellent starting point for discovering the area: the legendary Pont du Gard (Gard Bridge), the Ardèche Gorges, Camargue, the Trabuc caves, the Cocalière, the Aven d'Orgnac, the Arena of Nîmes, the Uzès Dukedom, Avignon and its city of the Popes, and many more wonders…

- Castle :
Dating from the 15th Century, the Château de Boisson (Drink Castle) will make you discover all the beauty of old stone. Its round tower, its inner courtyard with its mulberry trees plane trees, its views on the Cévennes... The tranquillity of the premises for peaceful holidays.

With regards to accommodation, you have the choice: lodging for 2, 4 or 6 people as well as bedrooms for 2 people. It is 17 lodgings, which are spread across these walls that are loaded with history. They all have their individuality. Three lodgings share a garden, another offers a splendid view on the Cévennes, another makes the most of a terrace with view on the Cévennes and on the inner courtyard of the Castle.

- Mobil homes :
Our mobile residences are spread on the estate in different zones. All are comfortably equipped: kitchen, shower room, WC, garden furniture, sunbathing. We give great importance to the quality of our accommodation that we maintain in perfect condition.

The campsite offers 165 sites of an area of 90 to 250 m2 in the castle's park and its extensions situated on 3 levels. In order to help you understand the sites allotment, you are invited to refer to the map of the campsite.
