Vauvert 2-star campsite (Gard)

The Camargue, land of sunshine and marshlands, wonderful wildlife, many Roman remains, the land of Cézanne and Van Gogh.
A small, family campsite with 80 pitches, formerly a vineyard and the old farmhouse, the Mas de Mourgues is still next door, its outbuildings now converted to holiday homes.
Pool children's playground, boules piste, ping pong, bar, barbecue. Throughout the summer there are traditional festivities in the nearby villages, usually involving running bulls through the streets. Go walking, cycling or horse riding, visit the Centre Scamandre at Gallician to find out about the origins and wildlife of the Camargue, sample the local wines, peaches and abricots, take a boat trip on the rhone or the canal, visit a bull breededr, relax on the beach and much much more.
